LISBON 3
(2025)
AAAAAND WE ARE BACK IN LISBON!
THIS IS MY THIRD LISBON COLLECTION, BUT NO TWO COLLECTIONS ARE THE SAME.
THIS TIME I EXPLORED SINTRA AND CASCAIS.
ALSO SCROLL DOWN FOR MY FIRST POEM OF THE YEAR!
SINTRA
I looked sunset right in the eye
you finally came back for me
I looked sunset right in the eye
and promised to try again
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder,
but some stay distant until they disappear.
That’s a lot of confidence to think you’ll be remembered when your presence isn’t here.
I care more about tangibility
I can’t embody you though a screen
Words are great but they are nothing more if actions are not layered in-between
Light the wheel & turn it round & round
We don’t wanna go home
Take a seat and watch the sun
You’ll never want to go home
Step onto the sand and watch the waves from a safe distance
Roll up your skirt so it doesn’t get wet
This is where Kings came to rest
so pardon me as I bide here
If I stand on the edge of the earth, will I dare myself to jump in?
Do I prefer to watch the waves or would I rather they bathe me?
Wash me clean, wash me new again
Show me something beautiful
May my dreams be a place of solace
May my soul be redeemable.
Palace on this hill
Hide me from the woes of the world
Protect me from what lies beneath my feet
Grant me a place to sleep, to relieve to feast
Shine so bright on the days I can’t see the sun
remind me that sunset still exists
Restore magic in my heart and fresh air in my lungs
Make my eyes fill with laughter again
Make my body build back it’s strength to soar
Rehabilitate me
I prayed to see something real
I woke up to sunrise in Bélgica
I prayed to see something real
I stumbled into sunset, my Sintra
