Duchamp & Sons with artist and musician Rosie Ridgway (2019)

I was a member of the Whitechapel Art Gallery’s youth forum Duchamp & Sons from 2016-2021.

In 2019 we collaborated with artist and musician Rosie Ridgeway to create an experimental sounding EP. Here we learned how to create our own beats as well as songwriting inspired by words from out-of-copyright material. Read more about this project on the Whitechapel Gallery’s website.

On the day of our exhibition I spontaneously wrote a song entitled ‘Sugar Rush’ to a beat created by other members of Duchamp & Sons. This song ended up being a solo on our EP. Click here to listen to ‘Sugar Rush.’
